Roadwork

Roadwork or running comes in many different formats; the ‘Rocky’ film type portrayal of setting the alarm for 04:30 is sometimes a little misleading!! Yes, early morning runs are a great start, but not always the answer to ‘all round running conditioning’ running should be done in a number of ways.

Roadwork consists of runs ranging from 3-4 miles which enable you to build a base level of fitness, including increasing endurance.

We accommodate all levels of fitness, whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced athlete looking for ‘something different’ we will make sure that you work within your own fitness levels.

The individuals who participate always make sure that a laugh Is had by all, as long as you have a decent pair of running shoes, your good to go!!

Training sessions are generally 20-30 mins in length, consisting of:

  • 10 x 400m – usually done at a ¾ pace, not quite as fast as you can, but faster than usual jogging pace, with a minute recovery in between!!
